Business Development Executive (East Coast)

Sales East Coast Malaysia· Kuantan · Kuala Terengganu · Kota Bharu Full time

Open a new territory on the East Coast: generate leads, build local partnerships and bring eZee to hoteliers across Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bharu.

Key responsibilities

Lead generation

  • Cold outreach: proactively identify and reach out to prospective clients via site visits, cold calling, and networking.
  • Pipeline building: create and manage a healthy sales funnel from scratch, moving leads from initial contact to "hot" prospects.
  • On-the-ground presence: travel extensively across the region (Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Bharu, etc.) to establish a physical presence and build trust.

Strategic partnerships & networking

  • Local alliances: identify and build relationships with local government bodies (e.g., Tourism Pahang), trade associations (MAH/MyBHA regional chapters), and vendors to gain referrals.
  • Event representation: represent the company at local trade shows, tourism seminars, and community networking events to increase brand visibility.

Solution pitching & negotiation

  • Deal closing: lead the negotiation on commercial terms, contract duration, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure new business.

Feedback & product alignment

  • Sales reporting: provide regular updates to HQ on market trends, win/loss analysis, and sales forecasts for the new territory.
  • Voice of the customer: act as the primary feedback loop between the new market and the product team to suggest features or localized pricing models.

What you'll bring

  • Experience: usually 2–5 years in B2B sales, business development, or account management. Experience in the hospitality or SaaS sector is a major advantage (not a must, but a plus point).
  • Language skills: proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is essential.
  • Mobility: a valid driver's license and your own vehicle are almost always mandatory, as the role involves significant travel between towns and coastal resorts.
  • Soft skills: strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are vital for building trust in the regional market.
