How the estimate works
Estimated annual OTA commission = rooms × occupancy rate × 365 nights × average nightly rate × OTA booking share × average OTA commission rate. The second figure assumes you win back 15% of those OTA bookings directly and keep the commission you would otherwise have paid on them.
This is a planning estimate, not a revenue forecast. It does not account for seasonality, different room rates, cancellations, taxes, payment fees, direct marketing costs or differences between OTA contracts. Use the rates from your own statements for a better estimate.
