Hotel e-Invoice in Malaysia, handled inside eZee

LHDN's e-Invoice mandate now covers most Malaysian properties. eZee generates, validates and submits your e-Invoices straight to the MyInvois portal, from the same PMS and POS you run every day. No spreadsheets, no portal copy-pasting, no missed deadlines.

From booking to MyInvois in four steps

Every step happens inside eZee, so compliance runs quietly in the background while your team looks after guests.

Step 1

Generate

e-Invoices are created automatically from every booking, folio and POS bill. No re-keying, no separate spreadsheet.

Step 2

Validate

Each invoice is checked against LHDN rules and the buyer's TIN before it is sent, so errors never reach MyInvois.

Step 3

Submit

Invoices go straight to the MyInvois portal, one click or fully automated, and you get the validation status in real time.

Step 4

Share

The validated e-Invoice, with its QR code, is issued to your guest and stored, audit ready, inside eZee.

Hotel e-Invoice questions, answered

The mandate details that matter most to Malaysian hotels, resorts and restaurants.

What is e-Invoice and MyInvois?

An e-Invoice is a digital record of a sale sent in near real time to LHDN (Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri) for validation, replacing paper and PDF invoices. MyInvois is LHDN's official portal that receives, validates and stores these e-Invoices. Once validated, each invoice carries a QR code the guest can use to confirm it.

When does my hotel or restaurant need to comply?

LHDN is rolling e-Invoicing out in phases by annual turnover. Phase 1 (above RM100 million) began on 1 August 2024, Phase 2 (RM25–100 million) on 1 January 2025, Phase 3 (RM5–25 million) on 1 July 2025, and Phase 4 (RM1–5 million) on 1 January 2026. If your property turns over RM1 million or more, e-Invoicing is already mandatory.

My property turns over under RM1 million. Do I still need it?

Businesses with annual turnover below RM1 million are currently exempt, following the exemption threshold that took effect on 1 January 2026. You can still adopt e-Invoicing voluntarily, and many small properties do, so their billing is ready the moment they cross the threshold.

How do I issue an e-Invoice to a walk-in or foreign guest with no TIN?

You do not have to turn anyone away. Where a guest cannot provide a Tax Identification Number, e-Invoicing rules let you use the General Public details with their passport or IC, and eZee applies this automatically. You can also issue a single consolidated e-Invoice for these transactions.

Do I need separate software, or does eZee submit to MyInvois directly?

No separate tool. eZee connects directly to the MyInvois portal, so e-Invoices are generated from your bookings and POS bills and submitted from the same system your front desk already uses. There is nothing to copy-paste between platforms.

Can eZee handle consolidated invoices, credit notes and refunds?

Yes. eZee supports consolidated e-Invoices, plus credit notes, debit notes and refund notes, so cancellations, adjustments and month-end consolidation all stay compliant and are submitted correctly to LHDN.
